The late Jean Philippe, affectionately known as JP, tragically lost his life in an avalanche on January 24, 2024, at La Fouly. JP was deeply passionate about nature and the mountains, a love that ultimately led to his untimely demise. His sudden passing has left a profound void in the lives of his partner, Angéline, and their two young children, Arsène (7 years old) and Beryl (5 years old).
JP was known for his infectious smile, humility, and genuine love for life. He was a cherished friend, always present through the good times and the bad, offering a listening ear and his characteristic humor. His ability to bring joy and perspective to life’s challenges was a gift to those around him, easing the stress of daily life with his light-hearted approach.
As a devoted partner and father, JP was a constant presence in the lives of Angéline and their children. His death has left the family reeling, struggling to cope with the emotional and financial fallout. JP and Angéline had purchased a home six years ago, a serene haven in the mountains where their children could grow up surrounded by nature. Significant renovations on the house began a year ago, but with JP’s passing, Angéline finds herself unable to complete the work alone.
In response to the outpouring of support from friends and the community, a fundraiser has been organized by Marie Jordery to help Angéline and her children. The goal is to raise CHF 150,000 to complete the necessary renovations on their home and provide some financial stability. So far, CHF 2,800 has been raised from six donations, with contributions ranging from CHF 100 to CHF 2,000.
This fundraiser represents more than just financial assistance; it is a testament to the community’s love and respect for JP. It aims to fulfill his vision of a safe and happy home for his family, allowing Angéline, Arsène, and Beryl to rebuild their lives amidst this tragedy. Each donation brings them a step closer to realizing JP’s dream and ensuring his legacy lives on in the home he cherished so dearly.
