The late George Crowell, from Phoenix, Arizona, passed away recently, leaving his wife, Trish Crowell, and their community in mourning. George and Trish were married for over 30 years, and his sudden death has deeply affected those who knew him.
In a heartfelt effort to support Trish during this difficult time, Shane Dickey organized a fundraiser on her behalf. Trish has been a dedicated employee at Streets of New York in Phoenix for over 20 years, and the news of George’s passing has brought her coworkers and friends together to help cover funeral costs and outstanding medical bills. As of now, $225 has been raised out of the $15,000 goal, with contributions from six donors including Amber Olson and Jason Bedard.
Shane expressed his gratitude for any support, noting, "There is nothing that we can do to make this better, but anything that you are able to give would certainly help her through the hardship ahead." The funds collected will go directly to Trish to assist her as she navigates this challenging period.
A celebration of life for George will be held this Friday at Trish’s house at 6 pm. Friends and family are planning to gather, with many expressing their condolences and support on Facebook. Trish posted, "This Friday we will have a celebration of life for George Crowell at my house about 6 pm. Let me know if you need the address. Hope to see you all there."
Support and love have poured in from those who knew George. Aimee Fisher commented, "Wouldn’t miss it!" Tracy McQueen offered, "I will be there early to help you. I love you." Angela Norris Cooper sent her love and prayers from afar, while Mel Billman assured, "We will be there in spirit with all our prayers for our George!"
Although some, like Werner Ammann and Annmarie Matteson, cannot attend in person due to distance, they have sent their heartfelt messages. Werner wrote, "Trish, I wish I could be there. I’m out of state! Nothing but loves!!!" Similarly, Sherrie Rose shared her sentiments, "I wish I could be there, this distance thing SUCKS in EVERY WAY!! But I’m sending all my love for you all!"
The community’s response underscores the deep impact George had on those around him and the collective effort to support Trish in her time of loss.
