Zoila Alves, Kaileigh’s great aunt, shared a heartfelt post on Facebook, expressing her grief and asking for help with the funeral expenses. "Good afternoon everyone, this picture is my great niece. If you can help with donations for her funeral expenses, it would be more appreciated. Thank you so much. God bless everyone. She is now in heaven with our good Lord and singing in the angels’ choir," Zoila wrote.
In response to Zoila’s post, many have offered their condolences and support. Aimee Forster commented, "I am so sorry to hear that, fam." Zoila replied, thanking Aimee and expressing her gratitude for the support.
A GoFundMe campaign has been organized by Terra Yoder to raise funds for Kaileigh’s funeral expenses. The campaign has a goal of $10,000, and so far, $700 has been raised through five donations. Terra Yoder, who organized the fundraiser, described Kaileigh as a loving Christian who is now home with the Lord. Terra emphasized the unexpected nature of this devastating loss and the urgent need for financial support to cover the funeral expenses.
Donations to the campaign include contributions from Cayetana Garcia, Sascha Zauner, Jill Grimes, Tonya Lee, and Terra Yoder herself. Each donation, regardless of the amount, reflects the community’s collective effort to support Kaileigh’s family during this challenging time.
The community’s response highlights the impact Kaileigh had on those around her and the importance of coming together in times of grief. As her loved ones navigate this difficult period, the support from friends, family, and even strangers provides a glimmer of hope amidst the sorrow.
