Katrina Torres Wheeler Remembered As Family Seeks Support For Five Children After May 29, 2026 Loss
Katrina (Torres) Wheeler died on Friday, May 29, 2026, after a tragic event in a Walmart parking lot while placing groceries into a vehicle trunk.
The family shared that Katrina’s brother, Pito, also suffered injuries during the same event.
Katrina leaves five children, ages 5 to 15, and the family now seeks stability and care for them.
Katrina is survived by parents Louisa Mendez and Guadalupe Torres, and siblings Rocky, Kenneth, Guadalupe Jr., and Jason.
The family also remembers Katrina’s late brother, Randy Medina.
Jason Medina organized a fundraiser from Seguin, Texas, titled “Honoring Katrina’s Life and Caring for Her Kids,” which had raised $690 toward a $20,000 goal through 16 donations as of May 30, 2026.
The family said contributions will help with funeral costs, daily needs, and ongoing support for Katrina’s children.
