James "Jim" Hennink passed away on Monday, May 25, 2026, at the age of 63, according to a fundraiser created today, Saturday, May 30, 2026, by Richard Hennink.
Richard Hennink, who identified themself as James Hennink's child, shared that James served in the United States Marines from 1982 to 1985.
James also worked with the Collier County Sheriff's Office for nearly 28 years before retiring in 2015.
Richard described James as a devoted parent who consistently showed up, offered support, and took pride in every chance to see their child succeed.
Richard, a full-time student living four hours away, said the fundraiser seeks help with unexpected end-of-life costs while family affairs are managed from a distance.
