James Witten, 71, Remembered After Being Found Deceased Outside West Point, Utah Home On May 30, 2026

James Witten, 71, was identified by the Davis County Sheriff’s Office after being found deceased outside a home near 2000 West and 200 North in West Point, Utah.

Deputies responded at approximately 6:25 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2026, after reports from the area, and emergency personnel pronounced Witten deceased at the scene.

Authorities said the inquiry remains active as detectives gather evidence, speak with community members, and review available footage to better understand the timeline.

Investigators also asked the public for information about a maroon Honda Civic with an orange cover obscuring the plate, seen traveling north on 2000 West before turning right onto 300 North.

Officials had not announced any arrests as of Sunday, May 31, 2026.

Family members and loved ones are mourning Witten as the West Point community waits for answers.
