Priscilla Ramos Mafalda Remembered After Virginia I-95 Motorcoach Accident That Took Five Massachusetts Lives
Priscilla Ramos Mafalda, 25, of Worcester, Massachusetts, died in a motorcoach accident on Interstate 95 in Virginia, according to loved ones and a GoFundMe shared for family support.
The May 31, 2026 report identified Mafalda as the fifth and final Massachusetts resident who died after the motorcoach struck stopped traffic.
Officials said five people died, including a 13-year-old girl and a 7-year-old boy, while several others received injuries that ranged from minor to severe.
Mafalda’s spouse also received serious injuries, and family, friends, and community members have offered support during this painful time.
Friends remember Priscilla as kind-hearted, hardworking, and compassionate, with deep care for the people around them.
Federal transportation officials, including FMCSA, Department of Transportation investigators, and the NTSB, continue to review the case.
Authorities identified the motorcoach driver as Jing S. Dong, 48, of New York City, and reported two counts of involuntary manslaughter as officials review licensing, training, and a 2024 commercial driver’s license.
