Tammy Brunette-Kaska Remembered After Family Night Drive Ends In Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash In St. Lawrence County On May 29, 2026
Tammy Brunette-Kaska died after a two-vehicle crash on Friday, May 29, 2026, at about 9:19 p.m. at County Route 55 and U.S. Route 11 in Lawrence, St. Lawrence County.
Officials said a 2016 Honda CR-V carrying Jesse P. Kaska, Tammy Brunette-Kaska, and three teenagers from Chateaugay and Brushton traveled east on U.S. Route 11 when a Chevrolet Traverse entered the intersection and struck the passenger side.
Tammy Brunette-Kaska received emergency care at Canton-Potsdam Hospital, where medical staff made efforts to save Tammy Brunette-Kaska, but Tammy Brunette-Kaska later died from the reported injuries.
Jesse Kaska and the three teenagers sustained serious injuries, with two teenagers transferred to Upstate University Hospital in stable but critical condition and the others hospitalized in stable condition.
Officials identified the other driver as Ricky L. DeShane of Brasher Falls, and said the review of the crash remains ongoing.
Memorial service details will be announced later by family members.
