The late John Paul Alarilla, also known as "Japoy," passed away suddenly on May 16th, 2024. He was a beloved resident of Quezon City, Philippines. Japoy was known for his kindness, generosity, and genuine nature, leaving behind a legacy cherished by his family and friends.
Jonah Rodriguez, a close friend who regarded Japoy as a true brother, is organizing a fundraiser to support Japoy’s bereaved family. The fundraiser aims to alleviate the financial burdens associated with his funeral and other expenses. Japoy was a devoted son to Connie, brother to Jaycee, husband to Nonie, and father to two children, Isabella (18) and Joey (14).
The campaign has raised $525 out of a $10,000 goal, with contributions from five donors so far. Jonah’s heartfelt plea highlights the emotional and financial challenges the family faces, urging the community to come together in support. Donations can be made through the GoFundMe page, and all proceeds will be transferred to Isabella’s PayPal account in the Philippines.
The community’s response reflects the collective effort to honor Japoy’s memory and assist his family during this difficult time. The funeral services will be held at Loyola Memorial Chapels & Crematorium in Commonwealth, Quezon City, with viewings on May 18th and 19th.
Japoy’s passing has left a profound impact on those who knew him, and the fundraiser stands as a testament to the love and solidarity within the community.
