The late Jay Bunch from Hemet, California, was found dead on June 19th, 2024, at the age of 54. Jay leaves behind three children and eight grandchildren. His daughter, Nicole Bunch, has organized a GoFundMe campaign to help cover the costs of his cremation and to support his children.
Jay’s life was marked by ups and downs. He spent many years apart from his children due to his chosen lifestyle, but had recently reconnected with them. Tragically, this renewed relationship was cut short. Jay had been involved in an accident with an Amazon truck while riding his Harley, which resulted in brain injuries and subsequent behavioral changes. His untimely death has left his family heartbroken and financially strained as they navigate this difficult time.
Nicole’s fundraiser aims to raise $5,000 to ensure her father is laid to rest with dignity. She expressed the family’s struggles, stating, "We were not prepared for this loss and are currently going through things that have us financially burdened."
On Facebook, many friends and family members shared their condolences and memories of Jay. James La Chappa wrote, "R.I.P. to my old friend Mr. Jay Bunch. We grew up together, trained MMA together, had a lot of crazy fun times in our town. He was always super solid and always a great friend." Another friend, Michael Cooney, shared, "Had some wild times with you Jay, never forget. RIP Brother."
The community of Hemet remembers Jay fondly as a local legend. Jason Adams remarked, "You ain’t lying Brother, a local legend. His presence will be missed. They don’t make them like that no more!" Heather Pulatie echoed this sentiment, saying, "Man, I just found out. Such a great person. Definitely a legend. Never ever forgotten. R.I.P one punch."
As the family and friends of Jay Bunch come to terms with their loss, they seek support through the GoFundMe campaign to honor his memory and lay him to rest.
