The late Gavin Welch was from Monroe, Wisconsin. The community and his family are struggling to cope with his sudden and tragic passing on June 23rd. Gavin was described as a brave and kind person who brought light to every room he entered and made everyone feel special. His family is now seeking support to help them grieve and provide Gavin with a proper farewell.
Jillian Capes, a relative, has organized a GoFundMe campaign titled "In Memory of Gavin Welch: Support His Family," with a goal of raising $10,000. As of today, $1,200 has been raised through eight donations. Alex Welch donated $50, Joseph Capes contributed $100, Jessie Zyer gave $50, Shasta Goff donated $50, and Heather Lettier generously contributed $250.
Rebecca Howard shared her feelings on Facebook, expressing, "Every little bit helps, please consider donating for my cousin if you can. If not, please shower his family with love and prayers." Rox Anne Dussault also expressed her sorrow, commenting, "It is so incredibly sad. I couldn’t believe it when I heard."
The outpouring of support on social media and through the fundraiser highlights the impact Gavin had on those around him and the deep sense of loss felt by his family and friends. As they navigate this difficult time, the community’s collective efforts provide much-needed comfort and financial assistance for Gavin’s family.
