He passed away May 29, 2024. I created this GoFundMe to raise funds for his funeral. Anything helps, thank you to everyone who shares." Taya Bellefy also offered her condolences, saying, "If you need anything please let me know! He was so amazing… what happened? So sorry for your family’s loss."
Shaggy was known for his big heart and willingness to help others. He was always there for his friends and family, often participating in fundraisers and donating whenever he could. Ramon Pena, the fundraiser’s organizer, highlighted Ernie’s character, stating, "He was very talented, skilled, bright, and extremely clever. He was the biggest supporter I knew; he always supported you and would always push you to outdo yourself."
