Rob Base rose to prominence with DJ E-Z Rock as the duo Rob Base & DJ E-Z Rock, whose 1988 song “It Takes Two” reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot Dance/Club Songs chart.
The record remained a favorite at parties, sporting events, films, and celebrations across generations.
Rob Base continued recording with the 1989 solo project “The Incredible Base” and later reunited with DJ E-Z Rock for the 1994 release “Break of Dawn.”
