Jessica Miller Of Tullahoma Remembered After Early Morning I-75 Construction Zone Crash In Wood County, Ohio
Jessica Miller, 40, of Tullahoma, Tennessee, died on May 23, 2026, after an early morning crash on northbound I-75 near the I-475 interchange in Perrysburg Township, Wood County, Ohio.
They drove a Dodge Grand Caravan with two passengers just after 4 a.m. when the vehicle struck the rear of a stationary Freightliner M2 box truck in an active construction zone.
Authorities identified the truck driver as 54-year-old Joel Settlemire of Findlay, who had stopped in the middle lane due to work-zone conditions.
Troopers said the minivan did not keep a safe following distance, and officials reported that Jessica Miller used only a lap belt while two rear passengers had no seatbelts.
Emergency crews took Jessica Miller to St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, where they later died.
David Miller, 38, received hospital care for serious injuries, and a 9-year-old child received treatment for minor injuries.
The family will announce memorial and funeral service details at a later time.
