Jason Barney has died, according to a memorial fundraiser created on Thursday, May 7, 2026, by Caleb Ladieu of Enosburg Falls, Vermont.
The fundraiser, titled “Support of Jason Barney’s memorial and Family,” says the memorial fund will help cover funeral costs and provide care for Jason Barney’s grieving family.

Caleb Ladieu described Jason Barney as an amazing person, a teacher, and a historian who helped many people find direction, community, and confidence.
The post also recalled Jason Barney’s classroom as a safe and welcoming place for students, including those in their junior and senior years of high school.
