The late Terhas Yousef was from Lemon Grove, California. The community and her family are struggling to prepare her burial, making this a devastating loss. Terhas would have turned 30 this December. Despite facing numerous challenges, she remained a kind and hardworking individual. Tragically, she lost her life due to mental health struggles, marking the third child in her family to succumb to such battles.
Daniella Cota, a family friend, has organized a GoFundMe campaign to help ease the financial burden on the Yousef family. As of now, $525 has been raised out of a $5,000 goal from 11 donations. The recent donations include $50 from Adriana Diaz del Castillo, $100 from Jimmy May, and $25 from Rebecca Maxwell.
Cynthia Johnston shared the GoFundMe link on Facebook, urging others to contribute: "A GoFundMe has been made to help the Yousef family lay Terhas to rest. Anything helps. TIA family." Amber Golden responded, asking for the post to be made public so she could share it further.
Kc Detate expressed their sorrow, commenting, "I wish I could help; it’s sad that she is gone. RIP." Other comments included condolences from Karen Arroyo and Lydi Lydi, both offering their sympathy and support to the grieving family.
The fundraiser reflects the community’s desire to come together and support the Yousef family during this incredibly difficult time. Every donation, no matter how small, helps to ensure Terhas can be laid to rest peacefully and eases the financial strain on her mourning family.
