The late Tara Groff was from Lebanon. Her unexpected passing has left her family and friends in shock, and they are now struggling to manage her funeral expenses. Tristin Fake, Tara’s sister, has organized a GoFundMe campaign to help cover the costs of the funeral. As of now, $365 has been raised out of the $7,000 goal, with eight donations.
Tristin shared her grief and need for support on Facebook, expressing how difficult this time is for their family. "I never ask for help, but unfortunately sometimes we do not know what life is going to bring us. My sister Tara Groff passed away today. We are completely lost for words and still trying to figure everything out, but I am in need of help. Any little bit helps and is greatly appreciated."
The Facebook post garnered an outpouring of condolences and support from friends and family. Gabrielle Jahn wrote, "I’m so sorry for your loss," while Sylvia Emmick added, "Oh my god! I’m so sorry. If you need anything let me know." Many others echoed similar sentiments, offering their condolences and support during this difficult time.
Donations to the GoFundMe campaign have come from various friends and acquaintances, including Drea Matters who donated $25, and an anonymous donor who contributed $200. Tristin expressed her gratitude for the support, saying, "Thank you all for your love and support. It doesn’t go unnoticed!"
The community’s support underscores the impact Tara had on those around her, with many friends recalling fond memories and expressing their sorrow. Reannon Patsches commented, "I’m sorry for the loss of Tara. She was always a great friend that I have many memories with, lots of love and thoughts are with you and your family."
Despite the grief and financial burden, Tristin remains hopeful that with the community’s help, they will be able to honor Tara’s memory properly. The fundraiser highlights the pressing need for collective support in times of sudden loss and the importance of coming together to help those in need.
