Tano Diaz, a beloved member of the Santa Fe community, passed away unexpectedly from a heart attack on Saturday night, May 25. His sudden death has left his family and friends in deep sorrow. Tano is survived by his wife, Tuti, and their four sons, Alejandro (25), Diego (18), Julian (15), and Christian (14).
Longtime friends of Tano, Toni and Jack Cowden, have organized a GoFundMe campaign to help cover the funeral expenses. The fundraiser, titled "Help Tano’s family pay for his funeral expenses," has set a goal of $4,000. So far, they have raised $100 from a single donation by Tim Kirkpatrick.
Toni Cowden shared the impact Tano had on those around him, always working hard and brightening everyone’s day. The fundraiser aims to alleviate some of the financial burdens faced by Tano’s family during this difficult time.
Tano’s services will be held at Rivera Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 4, with visitation from 5-6 pm and a rosary from 6:30-7 pm. A mass will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church on Friday, June 5, at 11 am.
