The late Nico, from Live Oak, Florida, passed away on June 8, 2024, after a prolonged battle with heart issues and a heart transplant. His mother, Patricia Stith, is now seeking support for his funeral expenses and some associated costs. She has organized a GoFundMe campaign, aiming to raise $7,000, but as of now, only $350 has been collected through three donations.
Patricia shared her grief and need for help through the GoFundMe page: "Hi, my name is Patricia, my son Nico passed away last night after a long fight with his heart and heart transplant. We are trying to raise funds for his funeral and to help cover some cost. Please keep our family in your prayers as we go through this difficult time."
The community has shown some support, with Raymond Spears donating $100, Karen Soricelli $50, and Margaret Garcia contributing $200. Despite these contributions, the goal is still far from being met.
Kathi Dillenbeck Spears, a family friend, also expressed her sorrow and plea for help on Facebook: "Please help if you can. Even a few dollars will give this sweet boy a proper funeral. He has fought a good fight all his life with hospitals, procedures, infusions, testing, and pain. Please allow him to be at peace now and his parents to have the help that they need to help them lay him to rest."
This situation underscores the emotional and financial strains families face during such challenging times, highlighting the importance of community support in helping them navigate their loss.
