The late Natalie Altman was from Westland, Michigan. Her sudden passing has left her family in deep mourning and financial distress. Natalie left behind an 8-year-old daughter, Abigail, and her fiancé, Eric Ertell, who now faces the challenges of being a single father.
Eric Ertell has started a GoFundMe campaign to cover Natalie’s cremation expenses and provide for Abigail’s needs. The goal is to raise $8,500, and as of now, $1,010 has been raised from 18 donations. Eric expressed his devastation in the campaign, stating, "We are heartbroken and devastated by losing Natalie so suddenly. She had so much life left to live, especially for our daughter Abigail."
The fundraiser has seen contributions from various individuals, including Kim Ross, who donated $100 and is noted as the top donor, and Justen Concord, who made the first donation of $50. The community is coming together to support Eric and Abigail during this difficult time.
Kelly Elswick, Natalie’s cousin, also shared a heartfelt message on Facebook, urging support for the family. She wrote, "Hey all- My cousin passed away unexpectedly leaving behind an 8-year-old daughter and leaving her fiancé a single father. If you could please share for anyone who knew Natalie who would like to support them with final burial expenses and care for their daughter. Thank you for your support and kindness during this difficult time."
The family’s immediate concern is to raise enough funds for Natalie’s cremation, with any remaining money going towards Abigail’s childcare and other needs. This tragic event has underscored the community’s role in supporting each other through times of grief and financial hardship.
