On May 17, 2024, Kendra Coleman, a beloved mother and grandmother from Tuckerton, New Jersey, was found unresponsive by her youngest daughter. Despite the quick response from her older children and the police, it was discovered that Kendra had passed away in her sleep at the age of 47. Kendra had been battling complications from diabetes for years, enduring numerous hospitalizations and surgeries. Her doctor believes she succumbed to these complications.
Kendra was known for her humor, often sharing inappropriate jokes, and her love for her six children. She had recently experienced the joy of becoming a grandmother for the first time in late 2023, which brought immense happiness to her life.
Now, her two oldest daughters face the daunting task of making difficult decisions to care for their younger siblings. One of Kendra’s children is set to graduate high school next month, while the youngest two are still in high school and elementary school. The family’s life has been turned upside down by this tragic loss.
Kaylee Berge, organizing a fundraiser on behalf of Vanessa Santiago, aims to raise $10,000 to cover funeral expenses and help the family adjust to their new reality. The funds will also support the younger children, ensuring they can remain together. So far, the fundraiser has raised $450 from seven donations, with contributors like Melissa DeStefano and Michael Shoemaker showing their support.
The community is rallying to assist Kendra’s family during this difficult time, highlighting the need for collective support in moments of personal tragedy.
