The late Karl Eddinger was from Pottstown, Pennsylvania. The community and his family are grappling with his unexpected passing and the preparations for his funeral. Karl’s cousin, Devon Ty, has initiated a fundraiser to support the family during this challenging time, with a goal of $15,000.
Karl M. Eddinger tragically passed away on May 18th, 2024. He leaves behind two daughters, Eva (17) and Karli (16), who were the center of his world. He is also survived by his mother Cheryl, his father Tom, three brothers, and a younger sister. Karl would have celebrated his 41st birthday on May 24th. The family is seeking assistance to cover funeral expenses and to ensure the continued education of his daughters. Eva is set to start college after her high school graduation this year, and Karli has one more year of high school before she too continues her education.
Devon Ty shared a heartfelt memory on Facebook, encouraging others to donate and share the fundraiser link. He reminisced about a birthday party from his childhood where Karl’s humor and creativity shone brightly. Devon recalled how Karl presented him with a large, promising gift bag, which ultimately contained a small mini donut. This playful moment exemplified Karl’s ability to bring joy and laughter to those around him.
Devon Ty’s Facebook post reads: "Please help my family and I in raising money to help celebrate my oldest cousin Karl Eddinger. Any leftover funds will be put towards helping pay for his two daughters’ secondary education. We would also appreciate if you would help us by sharing this link so we can reach as many people as possible with this post. When you share the post it would mean a lot to us if you write in any happy memories that you remember from your experiences with Karl. I’ll get it started. When I was really young, I remember Karl once came over for a birthday of mine and he made a huge spectacle of how he definitely had gotten me the best gift…"
The fundraiser, organized by Devon Reidler on behalf of Jennie Farmer, emphasizes the family’s need for financial support during this difficult period. Contributions will not only aid in covering the funeral costs but also secure the educational future of Karl’s daughters, ensuring they can achieve their dreams as he would have wished.
In times of grief, the community’s support is invaluable. The Eddinger family’s plea for help highlights the profound impact of Karl’s life and the ongoing need to support his loved ones in the wake of his untimely death.
