Joseph Siders, Jr., aged 47, from London, Ohio, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly due to a heart attack on Sunday, May 19, 2024. His untimely death has left his family and community in shock and mourning. Joseph leaves behind four children—Joseph III (12), Richard (10), Zoey (8), and Nathaniel (6)—who depended on him for everything.
Joseph’s passing has created a significant burden on his family as he had no life insurance or will. His sister, Patty Jeffers, has organized a fundraiser to cover the funeral expenses and to help secure guardianship of Joseph’s minor children, ensuring they remain together and receive the necessary counseling to cope with this traumatic loss. As of now, $250 has been raised out of the $5,000 goal.
Joseph was known for his dedication to his children and his willingness to help others. His family, including his mother, Linda Siders, and his brother, David Siders, along with several other adult children, are striving to keep his legacy alive by ensuring his children are cared for and remain in a stable environment.
The community is being urged to contribute to the fundraiser to prevent Joseph’s children from entering foster care and to assist with the legal and funeral expenses. Donations can also be made directly to the OR Woodyard Funeral Home in Columbus, Ohio, as the family continues to navigate this challenging period.
