The late Jason Saylor from Holly, Michigan, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on June 20, 2024. His passing has left a significant void in the lives of his loved ones, especially his wife, Brenda Saylor, and their three children. Brenda now faces the daunting task of managing their home and financial responsibilities without her beloved husband.
Jason was a cherished husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend to many. His niece, Bailey Banghart, expressed her profound sadness on Facebook, stating, "I share with terrible sadness and grief that the only man left in this world that I had as a father figure has unexpectedly passed away last night. I love you uncle Jason. You will forever be in my heart, and I thank you for all of my cherished memories you provided me and my cousins with in our childhood."
To support Brenda during this challenging time, Bailey Saylor has organized a GoFundMe campaign to help cover Jason’s funeral costs. The goal is to raise $8,000, and as of now, $600 has been raised through three donations. Bailey emphasized the importance of this support, mentioning that Brenda should not have to use the funds Jason left for their family to cover memorial expenses. Instead, these funds should help maintain their household.
The community has rallied around the Saylor family, offering condolences and support. Connie Black commented, "So very sorry for your family loss," while Melissa Vera May Dillon-Pennebaker added, "My heart goes out to you and your family, Bailey." Many others, including Maggie Hackney, Roberta Monte Pechota, and Tony Moggio, shared their sorrow and memories of Jason. Tony remembered him as a good man who will be sadly missed, while Gary Fredericks described Jason as "a one of a kind and a great man. Big heart, loyal, and loved his family."
The heartfelt messages from friends and family underscore the deep impact Jason had on those around him. Ericka Juarez Clark shared, "Geez, Bailey. The family has been through a ton. He really came through for Chris and I, and I’ll never forget that. I pray for strength for everyone. I’ll miss his light and kindness in this world." This sentiment was echoed by many, including Emily Jones, who said, "You’re far too young to deal with so much grief in your life. I’m sorry to your family for their loss, as well. The brothers are together now."
As the Saylor family navigates this painful period, the community’s support through the GoFundMe campaign and the outpouring of love on social media highlight the collective effort to ease their burden.
