JaKia D. Lanier, a devoted mother of four from Smyrna, Georgia, was tragically taken from her family by a random gunshot. Her sister, Rosalind Stewart, has organized a GoFundMe campaign to help support JaKia’s children, who now face an uncertain future without their mother’s love and guidance.
Rosalind Stewart, devastated by the loss, shared on GoFundMe: "My beloved sister was tragically taken from us by a random gunshot. She leaves behind four beautiful children who are now facing an uncertain future without their mother’s love and support." JaKia’s children, aged 3 to 16, are in desperate need of emotional and financial support. The funds raised will go towards funeral expenses, counseling, and ongoing care for the children.
The campaign, created yesterday, has so far raised $125 out of the $6,500 goal, with donations from anonymous contributors and Christi Thomas. Rosalind’s heartfelt plea on the fundraising page highlights JaKia’s dedication as a mother who tirelessly worked to provide a safe and stable home for her children.
On Facebook, Rosalind Jackson-Stewart expressed her sorrow and called for support: "Miss, honor, love. Please review: Dear friends and family, I am devastated to share the heartbreak… Rosalind Stewart needs your support for In Memory of JaKia D. Lanier." The community is coming together to help, but much more support is needed to secure the children’s future.
JaKia’s sudden and senseless death has left a profound void in the lives of her children and family. The GoFundMe campaign reflects a collective effort to provide the necessary resources and support during this incredibly difficult time.
