Ignacio Arteaga, a beloved member of Monmouth, Illinois, has passed away due to cancer. He was known for his kindness and philanthropy towards his hometown of Atolinga/Aguazarca. Ignacio’s passing has left his family and community deeply saddened and facing a significant financial burden to cover his funeral expenses.
Ezequiel Rosales has organized a GoFundMe fundraiser to help ease these costs. The fundraiser aims to raise $14,995, with $300 already contributed by donors Carlos Arteaga, Ezequiel Rosales, and Nancy Stevens, each donating $100. The proceeds will go directly to Ignacio’s wife, Josefina Arteaga, and their family to cover the approximately $14,000 needed for the funeral.
Ezequiel Rosales shared the family’s plea for support: "We humbly ask for your support to help give him the dignified farewell he deserves. Any contribution, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated and will help ease the financial strain on the family. Thank you for your kindness."
The community’s support reflects Ignacio’s impact and the collective effort to provide his family with the help they need during this difficult time.
