The late Guadalupe Vanegas was from Manassas, Virginia. As her family faces the heart-wrenching task of arranging her final farewell, they are overwhelmed by the financial burden of funeral expenses. Guadalupe, a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister, brought immense love, light, and joy to the lives of those around her. She is deeply missed by her family and friends.
Her son, Reynaldo Vanegas, is organizing a GoFundMe campaign to help cover the costs of her funeral. The goal is to raise $10,000, and so far, $390 has been raised from five donations. Reynaldo expressed his gratitude in a Facebook post, saying, "As some of you may know I’ve been going through a very hard time right now and I usually don’t ask for help, but today I’m asking you guys for help for my mother’s funeral expense."
Friends and family have shared their condolences and support on Facebook. Ariel Ochoa, who donated $200, wrote, "I’m so sorry brother." Santos Saavedra expressed his sympathy with, "sry bro!!" Jessica Osorio added, "Rey I’m so sorry to hear about your mother, my prayers go out to you and your family during this difficult time." James Bozarth shared a heartfelt message, "Yooo brotha, I know I’m in a different state but please let me know when the funeral is brotha so I can make it. Damn dawg, this shit hurts me like she was my own mother dawg. You know she used to always crack jokes about my hair lol."
In his GoFundMe campaign, Reynaldo highlights the urgency and importance of the donations: "Any contribution, no matter how small, will help alleviate the financial strain and allow us to focus on grieving and remembering her fondly. Your generosity will make a meaningful difference in ensuring that Guadalupe is laid to rest with the dignity and respect she deserves."
As the Vanegas family navigates through this challenging time, they are grateful for the thoughts, prayers, and messages of support from their community. With heartfelt gratitude, they hope to honor Guadalupe’s memory with the dignified and heartfelt send-off she deserves.
