Edward William Sheehan III passed away suddenly on Tuesday, May 21st, 2024. He was a beloved father, dedicated friend, and a pillar of the community in Tacoma, Washington. His death has left his family grieving and facing significant financial challenges.
Edward’s family, including his wife Zola and his children Edward IV, Daniel, and Michelle, are now trying to cope with the unexpected funeral expenses and other related costs. To honor Edward’s memory and provide him with the dignified farewell he deserves, his son Daniel Sheehan has organized a GoFundMe campaign to raise $12,000.
Edward’s final wish was to be buried next to his father in Utah, which adds the additional costs of transporting his body, purchasing a burial plot and casket, and arranging a proper funeral service. Additionally, Edward’s family is struggling to find new housing for his widow and disabled son. Without Edward’s income, they cannot afford to remain in their current home, necessitating funds for rent, moving costs, and application fees for a new place to live.
The community has started to rally in support, with the fundraiser receiving its first donation of $50 from Josh Walter. However, a significant amount is still needed to reach the goal and ease the financial burden on the grieving family.
Edward Sheehan was known for his kindness, generosity, and dedication to those he loved. His legacy of warmth and willingness to help others is now inspiring his community to come together in support of his family during this difficult time.
