Cindy Howard, a beloved figure in South Carolina, passed away, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and dedication to foster children. Cindy was an avid horsewoman and a former foster parent, deeply involved in foster care organizations for many years. Her passion for helping children and her love for horses have inspired a beautiful tribute in her memory.
Cindy’s daughter, Talitha (Ty) Howard Jolley, has created The Cindy Howard Scholarship Memorial Fund to continue her mother’s work. The fund will provide riding lessons for foster children and an afterschool program for foster kids and other underprivileged children in the area. Talitha shared on Facebook, "If you knew my mom, you knew she loved God’s children more than anyone I will ever know. You can now donate to The Cindy Howard Scholarship Memorial Fund—all proceeds will be used towards riding lessons for foster children and an afterschool program for foster kids and other underprivileged children in our area."
Gerry Ann Touchet commented on the post, "Your mother would be so proud of you. What a beautiful tribute."
The fundraiser, organized by Talitha Jolley, aims to raise $2,000 to support these initiatives. Talitha emphasized the importance of this fund, stating, "I cannot wait to see how our horses—abandoned, abused, and/or neglected themselves—walk side by side with children who have often felt the same. Please share. Please donate if you feel led. Most importantly, please pray that this blesses and changes the lives of the students that this fund will bring to us."
This heartfelt effort reflects Cindy Howard’s enduring spirit and her commitment to making a difference in the lives of children in need.
