Cassie Marie Kilshaw tragically passed away on July 16, 2014, at the age of 25 in London, UK. Her untimely death was caused by a GP prescribing her the wrong medication, an overdose of which should not have been administered to her due to her known epilepsy and other medical conditions. This tragic mistake left her five young children—Shanelle-Mae, Jordan-Jay, Kadie-Ellesse, Logan-Dean, and Mikey Valentino—without their mother.
Cassie’s daughter, Shanelle Williams, has taken the initiative to honor her mother’s memory by organizing a fundraiser on GoFundMe. She hopes to raise £2,000 to establish a memorial bench or plaque. As of now, the campaign has raised £5 from one donation. Shanelle expresses deep gratitude for any support towards their goal, emphasizing how much it would mean to her and her siblings to have a dedicated place to remember their mother.
Shanelle shared on the fundraiser page, "It has took me a long time to do this even though I’ve wanted to I haven’t found the words to say… My mum was such a special, beautiful, loving, good-hearted person who always thought of others first and was always there for everyone, always brightening up your day."
Shanelle Mae, a supporter, shared the GoFundMe link on Facebook, appealing to the community for help. "Hey there, how’s your day going? If you have a moment to spare, I’d love to lend a hand if you need it," wrote Daniel Williams, offering his support and echoing the community’s sentiments of coming together in remembrance of Cassie.
The family hopes that with this fundraiser, they can finally have a special place to visit, talk to her, and remember her as the "glitter angel" she was. Shanelle’s heartfelt plea is a testament to their ongoing pain and the desire to keep their mother’s memory alive in a meaningful way.
