Carl’s sister, Jacqueline Clausen Richart, shared the heartbreaking news on Facebook, writing, "I’m sorry to share, my dear brother, Carl Clausen, has unexpectedly, left us too soon. He passed away May 12, 2024, from natural causes. Please join our family in prayer, remembrance, and celebration to honor his life." Jacqueline also mentioned that a Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 30, at 10 am at St John the Baptist Catholic Church in Longmont, with a reception following at Collision Brewing Company and Restaurant at 11:30 am. She asked for prayers for Carl’s three children, who were the loves of his life.
In response to Jacqueline’s post, many friends and family members expressed their condolences and shared their sorrow. Barbra Dougherty Kitch commented, "Jacqui, I am so sorry. Matthew wrote, "As many of you may know by now, Our Dear Brother, Carl Clausen, has unexpectedly, left us too soon. He passed away at the age of 46 on May 12, 2024, from natural causes. Whether you are able to make all or none of the events, please send thoughts and prayers to our family, especially to his three children, who were the Loves of his Life."
The community has been incredibly supportive, with numerous heartfelt messages and prayers. Kelly Jones said, "I am SO sorry. My heart hurts for how much loss your family has endured.
