Our beloved Berta Dubon passed away on June 13th, 2024, at MGH Boston. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Berta was known for her love of listening to Vicente Fernandez, joking around, and her feisty personality. She enjoyed getting dressed up, doing her nails, and her make-up. Her family is deeply devastated by her passing and is struggling to find the funds to cover the cost of her service.
Leslie Arriaga, who organized the GoFundMe campaign, is seeking to raise $10,000 to give Berta the proper burial she deserves. As of now, $225 has been raised through two donations: Johanna Ortiz donated $100, and Jon Clark donated $125. Leslie expressed their gratitude for every donation during this difficult time.
Yesenia Palacios shared her thoughts on Facebook, urging others to donate and help give Berta a proper goodbye. "Please help us share and give this wonderful soul a proper goodbye. I have known Berta my whole life, and she really is the pillar of the family," she wrote.
The family and community are coming together to honor Berta’s memory and support each other during this challenging period.
