The late Ashlay Dawn Taskar was from Meridian, Idaho. Ashlay, who was only 31 years old, passed away recently, leaving her family and friends heartbroken. Born with Turner Syndrome, Ashlay faced numerous medical challenges throughout her life. Despite doctors predicting she wouldn’t live a full life or be able to have children, Ashlay defied many expectations. She stood under 5 feet tall and had the cognitive abilities of a fifth grader, but she still managed to earn her high school diploma.
Ashlay endured countless surgeries and dealt with seizures throughout her life. At the age of 16, she became wheelchair-bound due to issues with her right knee. Her parents, Dan and Shona Taskar, were unwavering in their support, taking her to medical appointments, surgeries, and even on outings like camping and fishing.
Since Ashlay’s passing, her parents have spent all their resources on her cremation costs. Now, Sandy Heuer, a family member, has organized a fundraiser to support Ashlay’s family in their time of need. The goal is to raise $6,000 to help cover housing, food, clothing, gas, and the costs associated with being out of work due to this tragedy.
The family is reaching out to the public for help, hoping to alleviate the financial burden they face. "Thank You and God Bless You All," they express in their plea for assistance.
