The late Archie Carmona Gregorio passed away on June 16, 2024. Archie was a loving son, brother, uncle, partner, and friend who deeply touched the lives of those around him. He dedicated his life to serving the sick as an outstanding nurse, always supporting and caring for his patients.
Archie leaves behind his partner of 21 years, Mazzy, his parents, sisters, brother, nieces, and nephews. His sudden loss has left his family and friends devastated and unprepared for the high cost of funeral services and the process of bringing his remains back to his family in the Philippines.
Juliet JT has organized a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for Archie’s funeral and end-of-life costs. The goal is to raise £5,000, and as of now, £3,300 has been raised from 97 donations. Juliet expressed her gratitude for every contribution during this difficult time, highlighting the importance of community support in such tragic circumstances.
On Facebook, friends and colleagues shared their sorrow and fond memories of Archie. Jovelyn Zarasate Cargo wrote, "Still shocked to hear you are gone too soon, my friend." Grant Mann commented, "Oh no! I’m so sad to hear this news. Always loved bumping into Archie and catching up. Sending love to you all Jovelyn. He will be greatly missed." Sadie Molloy added, "It’s so sad RIP Archie. It was always lovely to meet him, always happy and supportive, amazing with patients."
Archie had many hopes and dreams for his family back in the Philippines. His sister will need to travel to London to take his remains home, adding to the financial and emotional burden on the family. Despite the pain, the community’s collective support is a testament to the impact Archie had on those who knew him.
Juliet’s fundraiser reflects a heartfelt effort to honor Archie’s memory and support his family during this challenging time. The community’s generosity and shared memories emphasize the importance of coming together in moments of loss.
