Romello Mills, Brooklyn, NY— Romello Mills passed away on Thanksgiving Day, November 28th, 2024, at 2:37 pm from natural causes, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and selflessness. As a proud graduate of Brooklyn College’s education program, Romello dedicated his life to education and service, particularly in supporting men of color and youth in NYC public schools.
He worked as an educator and Senior Programs Coordinator for NYC Men Teach, where he was deeply involved in projects aimed at increasing teacher retention among men of color, as well as empowering black and brown youth. His efforts touched countless lives and made a profound impact on the community.
A fundraiser has been created by Nasim A to assist Romello’s family with financial expenses during this difficult time. As of now, $795 has been raised from 10 generous donations, with contributions from Bettina Katz, Tamara Rodney, and April Bedford among others. The funds will help support the family with memorial costs and additional expenses.
