Zac Paul Mcentire, known affectionately as "Malibu" or "Mal," passed away recently at the age of 45, leaving family, friends, and the communities of Cullman, Alabama, and Memphis, Tennessee, deeply saddened.
Jason McEntire, Zac's older brother, shared heartfelt memories of Zac, describing him as "the most unique person I knew"—hilarious, kind, and generous with his love and time. Zac’s life was marked by a passion for helping others, supporting those in recovery, caring for animals, and advocating for juvenile diabetes research.
Despite lifelong health challenges, including managing diabetes since age three, Zac faced them with courage and perseverance. Jason noted Zac’s remarkable bond with animals, earning him the nickname "Dog Whisperer" among friends.
Friends and family have expressed profound sorrow online, with one commenting, "He touched so many lives with his kindness and laughter." Another added, "Zac’s spirit will live on through the love he gave and the lives he impacted."
A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to honor Zac’s legacy, supporting family travel, memorial arrangements, and causes close to his heart. Details regarding memorial services will be announced by family members, as loved ones continue to celebrate Zac’s enduring impact and cherished memory.
