The incident occurred around 9:00 p.m. Wednesday on Highway 221 South at Laurel Hill Church Road in Waterloo.
Authorities reported that Johnathon Smith was riding a bicycle when a vehicle hit them, and emergency responders transported them for urgent care.
Johnathon Smith later passed away at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital, leaving family, friends, and Waterloo residents in deep sorrow.
