Jibrael Sesay, 34, Remembered After April 19 Richland County Crash Investigation Led To Charges Against Two People
Jibrael Sesay, 34, of Columbia, died after deputies responded around 10:20 p.m. on April 19, 2026, to the 3800 block of Humphrey Drive off Shakespeare Road in Richland County, S.C.
Deputies found a black Cadillac off the roadway after it struck a tree and stopped in the front yard of a nearby home.
First responders reached Sesay inside the locked vehicle, provided emergency assistance, and transported Sesay to a local hospital, where Sesay later died from upper-body injuries.
Authorities said an investigation using surveillance footage and witness interviews led them to Devante Walker, 27, and Leroy McLamore, 29.
Officials took Walker into custody on April 20 and McLamore on April 22, and both remain in custody as the case continues.
Family members will announce obituary and funeral service details at a later time.
