Virginia Montano of Glide, Oregon, organized the fundraiser and described John as a beloved child, sibling, uncle, nephew, and friend who brought love, joy, and light to many lives.
The fundraiser, titled “Support in honoring the life of John Francis Metianu,” seeks $5,000 for funeral arrangements and final tribute costs.
As of the post, 18 donors had contributed $1,125 toward the memorial fund.
