Joey was 66 and still working, according to a fundraiser created on May 11, 2026, by Melanie Montes and Robert Casillas.
The fundraiser says Joey leaves behind spouse Robert Casillas and a family facing medical bills, deductibles, and funeral expenses.
By the time of the post, supporters had raised $1,860 toward a $10,000 goal through 18 donations.
Loved ones described Joey as a person who made being around them, caring for them, and loving them feel easy.
