Frances Lenoir, 77, tragically passed away on Sunday afternoon after an accidental drowning at Spanish Lake County Park in St. Louis County.
Authorities report that first responders arrived shortly after 4 p.m. at the 12600 block of Spanish Pond Road and found Lenoir in the lake. Emergency measures were immediately initiated before she was transported to a nearby hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
Early investigations suggest that Lenoir may have been fishing near the water’s edge when she accidentally fell into the lake. Officials have confirmed that there are no signs of foul play, and the incident appears to be purely accidental.
