The late Wenceslao Loera, also known as Manny, passed away on the morning of June 29, 2024. He had been living independently in Canada for the past eight years. Diagnosed with liver cancer in early January 2024, Manny experienced two hemorrhages that led to numerous health complications, ultimately shortening his life. Despite the severity of his illness, Manny fought hard to spend precious time with his only daughter, Sarah Loera-Flores, during her visits.
Sarah, the only family member who could visit and support Manny emotionally and financially, shared that his passing was unexpected. He peacefully passed away in his sleep just a week after Sarah returned from visiting him in Canada. This sudden loss left Sarah unprepared for the news.
To honor Manny’s memory and help with his funeral and cremation expenses, Sarah has organized a GoFundMe campaign. The fundraiser aims to raise $4,000, and so far, $200 has been donated. Sarah expresses her deep gratitude for any support during this difficult time, emphasizing the impact that even a small contribution can have.
Sarah plans to return to Canada during the week of June 30th to manage the funeral arrangements. She appreciates the time taken to read her father’s story and the consideration given to donating.
