Wayne Rowe, a beloved member of the Rusk, Texas community, has passed away, leaving behind a grieving family and friends. Wayne, who was paralyzed and had been struggling with dialysis, is remembered for his strength and perseverance. His sister-in-law, Christina Openshaw, is organizing a fundraiser to cover the funeral expenses, which amount to $1,000.
Christina has expressed her heartfelt sentiments on Facebook, stating, "My brother-in-law was a good man, he was paralyzed, and has had a difficult time doing dialysis, but he is in a much better place, and is NOW WALKING WITH JESUS! I LOVE YOU Wayne Rowe as if you were my brother, I will miss you!"
Wayne was a father to Kayla Dewbre, Brandon Rowe, and Justin Ebanez, who are all mourning his loss. The community has started to come together to support the family in their time of need. So far, $300 has been raised through donations from Pete Ebanez, David Duran, and Jenni Huckey, each contributing $100.
Despite the sorrow, Christina’s message highlights a sense of hope and peace, believing that Wayne is now in a better place. The fundraiser reflects the community’s efforts to honor Wayne’s memory and support his family during this difficult time.
