The late Vaughn Tennyson Tingley of Brattleboro, Vermont, recently passed away unexpectedly. His family is struggling to cover the costs of his cremation, as he did not have any funeral arrangements or funds set aside. Vaughn’s immediate family consists of his sister Tonya Maureen, his younger sister Tavia Byam, and his 13-year-old daughter, Alexis Tingley.
Tonya Maureen and Tavia Byam have organized a fundraiser to help cover the minimum cost of $1,500 for Vaughn’s cremation. Despite pooling their resources, they are still short of the required amount. The primary goal of the fundraiser is to secure Vaughn’s ashes so that Alexis can keep a part of her father with her during this difficult time.
As of now, the fundraiser has raised $1,420 out of the $1,500 goal, with donations from family, friends, and anonymous contributors. Any funds raised beyond the cremation costs will be used to support Alexis in memory of her father.
Tonya expressed gratitude to everyone who has contributed and supported their family during this challenging time, emphasizing the importance of community and togetherness in times of loss.
