The late Taylor McIvor was from Oxford, England. Diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma cancer last year, Taylor’s condition recently worsened, leading to the heartbreaking decision to withdraw treatment. He is now receiving end-of-life care at a hospice, surrounded by his loving family, including his parents, Kayleigh and Sam, and his siblings, Dayley, Arnie, and Roux.
Graham Wickham, a family friend, has organized a GoFundMe campaign to support Taylor’s family with funeral and other related expenses. The campaign has garnered significant attention and support, with £720 raised out of the £10,000 goal from 23 donations. Graham, who made the top donation of £200, emphasized the community’s desire to help during this difficult time.
On Facebook, Graham Wickham posted, "Please take a minute of your time to read our GoFundMe. Our friends Sam and Kayleigh’s son Taylor is now receiving end-of-life care. We would really appreciate it if anyone can donate to help go towards the funeral etc. Please also feel free to share our post."
Gina Whittaker expressed her condolences and support, commenting, "Omg I’m so sorry, will donate. Thoughts are with him and his family and friends." Liam Breese added, "I don’t do it a lot, but I will pray for Taylor tonight." Richard Whitehead shared his heartfelt sympathy, writing, "Will do what I can. Still don’t know what to say, Sam and family, but my love, thoughts, and prayers are with you. I write this with a lump in my throat. Love to you all."
The community’s outpouring of support highlights the collective effort to ease the burden on Taylor’s family during this devastating time. The fundraiser serves as a testament to the strength of community bonds and the importance of supporting one another in times of need.
