The late Tanisha Duncan was from South Bend, Indiana. Her passing has left her family and community in profound grief. Tanisha’s children, including Caryale Simmons, are striving to gather the resources needed to honor their mother’s memory and lay her to rest.
Caryale Simmons has started a GoFundMe campaign titled "In Loving Memory of Mom, Tanisha Duncan: Support Needed" to help with the funeral expenses. The fundraiser has a goal of $12,000, of which $1,355 has been raised through 18 donations so far. The recent top donation of $125 was contributed by Cheri Diggins, who has generously donated twice, while the first donation of $25 came from Trinity DePriest-Bey.
Caryale expressed the family’s heartbreak and the urgent need for support: "Last Saturday, my sister and I lost our mom unexpectedly. There are so many things associated with closing the book on someone’s life. We are looking for any donations at the time for the funeral service of our mother, Tanisha Duncan. At this time, we need all the help we can get. Anything is appreciated. Thank you. ❤️"
The community has been encouraged to donate and keep the family in their prayers during this incredibly difficult time. On Facebook, a user named Da Plugg Presents urged friends to support the fundraiser, stating, "I need everybody in my friends list to bless this GoFundMe page and hers if you already did it, bless this GoFundMe page again. I definitely am for my day one, my love. This is just one of them ones that if it was the other way around, she would’ve made it happen. Let’s make it do what it do for Tanisha Duncan."
Tanisha Duncan’s family is not only seeking financial help but also emotional support as they navigate this tragic loss. The outpouring of support from the community highlights the profound impact Tanisha had on those around her and the collective effort to honor her memory.
