The late Suzie Anno Durant was a beloved member of the Valley Center community. The Valley Center Community Aid Group is deeply saddened by the loss of one of its founding members, who played a crucial role in the group’s creation and success. Suzie, a wife, mother, friend, mentor, and successful realtor, left a significant void in the hearts of those who knew her and the community she helped to build.
In honor of Suzie, a GoFundMe campaign titled "Honoring Suzie: Community Steps Up" has been organized by Krystal Lane. The fundraiser aims to support Suzie’s family during this challenging time. As of today, $100 has been raised towards the $25,000 goal, with the first donation coming from Krystal Lane herself.
The community aid group announced the fundraiser on Suzie’s birthday, emphasizing their commitment to continue her legacy of support and aid. "Today is Suzie’s birthday and in honor of Suzie Anno Durant and with the permission of her family, we’ve created a GoFundMe to help raise funds for her family in this difficult time," the group shared on Facebook. They encouraged everyone to donate if possible, highlighting the profound impact Suzie had on Valley Center.
The funds raised will go directly to Suzie’s family, as the community rallies to provide the same support Suzie once offered to many. A celebration of life is planned for July 7, where friends and family will gather to remember and honor Suzie’s contributions.
The outpouring of support from the Valley Center Community Aid Group and residents demonstrates the strong bond and sense of togetherness that Suzie helped foster. As the community steps up to support her family, they exemplify the spirit of generosity and care that Suzie embodied throughout her life.
