The late Steven Troxel was from Florence, Kentucky. His unexpected passing has left his family and friends in deep sorrow and facing significant financial challenges. Steven did not have any insurance or plans to cover the costs associated with his funeral, leaving his loved ones struggling to manage the expenses during this difficult time.
To support Steven’s family, Amy Sloan has organized a GoFundMe campaign titled "Help Ease the Burden for Steven’s Family." The fundraiser, created yesterday, has so far raised $2,710 out of a $16,000 goal from 19 donations. The campaign highlights Steven’s generous and kind nature, recalling how he could always make people smile with his jokes and bear hugs. Amy Sloan expressed her gratitude for any support, whether through financial donations, sharing the campaign, or other means of support.
On Facebook, Steven’s brother, Eric Troxel, has expressed his gratitude for the outpouring of support and kind words during this tragic time. He shared, "I want to say thank you for all the support and kind words, it’s truly been beautiful to see the impact Big Dawg has on so many in such a tragic time! Thank you again and I hate to make this post it’s killing me, but thanks in advance for any support, kind words or just a simple share it would mean the world to me and my brother! With love thank you thank you."
Friends and family have also shared their condolences and memories of Steven on social media. Tristan Iles remembered him fondly, stating, "Really was one of a kind. Ima miss him and the wisdom he gave me every time I saw him. Love you, Eric. If you need anything, feel free to call me or text me." Teresa McGlone Perry offered her prayers, saying, "Eric, I’m so sorry to hear about your brother. Just know that I’m praying for you and your family. Love you."
Alicia Buchanan-Rahschulte reflected on the joy Steven brought to others, commenting, "So sorry, Eric, for your loss. He was definitely someone who made us uncontrollably laugh when we were young and knew how to put a smile on our face. This is awful to hear."
The GoFundMe campaign continues to seek support to help Steven’s family navigate through this challenging period, hoping to alleviate some of the financial burdens they are facing while mourning his loss.
