Shaun Michael Brandon Dulude, a resident of Thunder Bay, Ontario, passed away unexpectedly on February 2nd, 2024. His untimely death has left his family and friends in deep mourning. In an effort to honor Shaun’s memory, his younger brother, Jordan Kelso, has organized a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for Shaun’s tombstone.
Jordan shared on the fundraising page, "On February 2nd, 2024, our family received devastating news that Shaun had passed away. In his honour, we are trying to raise money for his tombstone. Shaun’s untimely passing has impacted our family very much, and this is a great way to honour him. If you would like to help contribute to the tombstone, that would be great, and if you would like to share this with your family and friends as well, that would be a great help also. It is completely optional if you would like to contribute, but I would like to thank on behalf of my family for helping remember Shaun and contribute to his memory during this difficult time."
As of June 14th, 2024, the fundraiser has raised $870 out of the $3,200 goal, with contributions from five donors. Among the notable donations are $270 from an anonymous donor, $100 from Colin Jarvinen, $100 from Frank Benincasa, $200 from Kyle Beckerton, and $200 from Salvatore Mollicola.
Jordan Kelso also posted on Facebook, thanking everyone for their support and inviting them to contribute voluntarily to Shaun’s legacy. "Hi everyone; as part of Shaun’s memory, our family has set up a GoFundMe in his honour to help pay for a tombstone. This is voluntary, and if you would like to help contribute to Shaun’s legacy, feel free; it’s all your choice. Thank you to everyone who helps contribute to his memory," he wrote.
The family’s effort to raise funds for Shaun’s tombstone reflects their desire to ensure he is remembered and honored appropriately. The community’s support has been heartwarming, showcasing the strength of collective empathy and solidarity during such a tragic time.
