The late Sal Coleman, a cherished member of the Fredericksburg community, passed away unexpectedly on July 1, 2024. Sal was known for his radiant personality and a smile that could light up a room. He leaves behind a heartbroken mother, Brenda Robinson, three beautiful boys, and a devastated family who are now struggling to come to terms with his sudden departure.
Harvi Courtney, a close friend of Sal, has taken the initiative to organize a GoFundMe campaign to help support Sal’s family and cover his funeral expenses. The fundraiser, titled "Sal Coleman Rest easy," aims to raise $2,000. As of now, $50 has been raised, with Stephanie Henderson being the first to donate.
Harvi expressed the profound loss felt by all who knew Sal, describing him as an outstanding person and a loving father. "We lost a beautiful soul unexpectedly. On July 1, 2024, my friend, my brother, Salvador Coleman, transitioned into a place of peace," Harvi wrote on the GoFundMe page. Harvi’s heartfelt plea emphasizes the need for collective support: "Anything will help."
The community has started to come together to support Sal’s family in this difficult time. Monica Jones-Logan, upon hearing the news, responded with shock, "Wait, what happened to him?" Harvi replied, "Passed away last night." Others, like Michele Cook and Bruce Kelley-mullins, have expressed their intentions to contribute as soon as they are able. Patricia Feaster and many others have shared their condolences and support.
Sal’s mother, Brenda Robinson, can be contacted for more information and support at 470-633-5153. The outpouring of love and solidarity on social media and the GoFundMe campaign is a testament to the impact Sal had on those around him.
This tragic event has left a void in the lives of many, and the community is rallying to ensure that Sal’s family receives the support they need during this challenging time.
